Last June, the faculty organized its traditional Projects Fair attended by dozens of BSc students who presented projects in fields such as IoT, Android applications, software engineering, and communications. Many of the projects presented at the fair, which was organized by Itai Dabran and Tom Sofer from the Interdisciplinary Center for Smart Technologies (ICST), used innovative technologies to help the community.
The projects included a smart hospital bed that raises an alert when there is a chance a patient may fall, swimming prostheses for arm amputees, a system for streamlining management of second-hand stores, a robot that solves Rubik’s cubes based on voice instructions, an application that monitors home air quality, and an application that supports NGO management.
