For the first time ever, a prize for social excellence was awards to Gal Shalon during the faculty excellence ceremony for outstanding, unique volunteer work:
Gal is an MA student at the faculty who has been volunteering at the Elem organization with at-risk youth since 2018. He is involved in a project called “Street Address” in which he goes to street corners and offers assistance to at-risk youth – ranging from conversations and a helping hand, to interactions with public authorities such as rehab centers, the IDF, police, and more. Gal has provided sensitive and dedicated support for many young people, and given hope to many.
